AREA AGENCY OF AGING (AA) OUTRECH SPCECIALIST/SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinates Area Agency on Aging (AAA) volunteer projects and events to include assisting with implementation of volunteer recruitment and retention coordination of specialized in-service training, as well as coordination and conducting public awareness sessions in a variety of forums; Maintains contact with partners, non-profit agencies, vendors, and state and federal agencies to facilitate cross-project communications and relations; Coordinates projects, events, to support implementation of senior volunteer programs that assist older adult clients; Maintains the agency contact database that includes, but is not limited to volunteers, beneficiaries, and general interest parties; Requires excellent inter-personal, a high level of organization, attention to detail, presentation, and public speaking skills.

Tasks Performed:

Responsible for the recruitment, retention and management of volunteers; Handles requests for services and schedules outreach; Conducts presentations and participates in outreach events; Coordinates with Client’s Public Relations staff to include serving as AAA agency representative at special events, meetings, workshop and/or conference; Serves as liaison to non-profit agencies, vendors and government entities to facilitate events and communications; Collects and analyzes for reporting; Compiles, analyzes, and evaluates trainings; Assists AAA Staff Liaison with AAA Committees with related tasks and projects; Handles requests, scheduling, and execution of presentations and related events for community partners and member governments; Serves as a liaison between Our client and community partners, non-profit organizations, vendors, and member governments to facilitate communication and coordination of special events; Compiles, analyzes and evaluates program reports and educational materials to provide up-to-date information regarding services to the public; May perform administrative duties as necessary, to include data gathering, application processing, verifying financial information, updating contacts lists, updating the agency website, and compiling reports.

Required Degree/ Desired Job Experience

High School Diploma; One (1) year of progressively responsible experience in the field of Aging, Social Work, other Human services, Community Outreach, or related field; Prefer Bilingual in English and Spanish.

$20.68 AN HOUR
