Job Summary:
Technician duties will include answering phones, scheduling appointments, obtaining detailed histories, filing, recordkeeping, computer work and other daily tasks. Technician duties will include restraining animals, running lab work, observing animals for any signs of illness, helping in surgery, X-rays, and other daily tasks. Animal handling duties will include cleaning cages, bathing, cleaning surgery room and surgical packs, general housekeeping and other daily duties.
Candidate will have a lot of contact with our clients and their furry friends; therefore candidate must have excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette, must be courteous and helpful to our clients and want to be a team player.
About the position:
We will provide training in the above positions. This is a job with a steep learning curve and you will need to put an effort into learning the job. Candidates will be given extensive hands-on training to ensure your success in this position, however only you will be able to determine how successful you will be in this job (and we’re expecting excellence)
Candidate will be expected to carry their share of the work.
Evaluation:
Your performance will be reviewed after employment – 30 days, 90 days and 6 months thereafter. Candidate will be evaluated on your ability to educate our clients, customer service, phone etiquette, desire to be helpful to our clients and much more.
Office hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday – 6:45am – 5:30pm
Thursday 6:45am – 12:00pm (we are closed every Saturday and Sunday)
Closed Saturdays and Sundays
Holidays are rotated among employees through the year
