Vibe Operator
SAE is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Vibrator Operator to join our Field Operations team in Canada/ USA. The operator is responsible for the operation of vibration equipment used in seismic data acquisition. This role involves ensuring the proper functioning of the equipment, performing daily maintenance, and conducting inspections. The Vibe Operator also interacts with other members of the team who analyze the data.
This position demands physical endurance, adaptability to harsh weather and terrain, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Operating and maintaining the vibrator trucks and related equipment used to generate seismic waves.
Performing daily checks, maintenance, and minor repairs on electrical and mechanical components of the vibration equipment.
Interacting with the seismic crew, including surveyors, drivers, and other technicians, as well as the team who analyze the data.
Ensuring all operations are conducted safely and in accordance with established procedures and safety regulations.
Identifying and resolving problems with the vibe equipment to minimize downtime.
Other duties as required
Qualifications & Skills
Holds a valid Driver’s License, if applicable
Demonstrates the ability to safely operate motor vehicles in adverse conditions, including line trucks and UTVs.
Exhibits a strong commitment to safety standards and service quality in all operations.
Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency and safety.
Work Environment
Rotational schedule spanning 35 to 42 days, with shifts ranging from 12 to 13 hours.
Exposure to adverse weather conditions and rough terrain.
Ability to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds.
Frequent bending, sitting, standing, kneeling, climbing, and walking.
