DescriptionICF seeks a highly qualified candidate to serve as the Training Lead to work on a national technical assistance project. The purpose of this project is to provide legal services for unaccompanied children post-release from Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) care and custody and to expand the legal community’s skills and capacity to provide immigration legal support. The Training Lead is responsible for ongoing training opportunities for project legal staff and ensuring best practice in instructional design is applied by all team members. The work includes the development of products and tools to support all facets of the legal work with a primary audience of legal service professionals, with additional materials for children and their sponsors. This position supervises Writer/Editor/508 Compliance staff, and Content Developers.The successful candidate will have broad knowledge of project management, instructional design, and training/technical assistance provision and support the vision of legal services training and technical assistance. The Training Lead reports to the Training and Technical Assistance Manager.Key Responsibilities:

Training Lead responsibilities include:

Lead and implement strategies related to legal services training and technical assistance, including a comprehensive training plan. Ensure all learning and development deliverables are on time and of high quality.

Apply adult learning theories to create engaging and interactive learning materials. Work with the team to develop training content, including instructional modules, and other format aligned with ORR requirements, learning objectives, and desired outcomes.

Support cross-team efforts to identify knowledge gaps and training and technical assistance needs.

Ensure that all staff orientation training materials are current and designed to best support the learning needs of incoming staff.

Oversee product development related to legal services training and technical assistance.

Coordinate all work with SMEs and partners in delivering training and technical assistance services.

Work with the Communication Lead to develop all strategies related to the broad internal and external communication needs of the project.

Engage with the technology team to support training the intersection of training efforts and the Learning Management System.

Basic Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience in a training/instructional design role.

A minimum of 3 years managing projects, tasks, or equivalent of project management such as managing multiple aspects of deliverables, deadlines, and partner relationships

A minimum of 2 years demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder and partner relationships, including balancing multiple perspectives/needs, for capacity building projects.

A minimum of 1 year experience working with national training and technical assistance efforts.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in project management, and instructional design

Education and/or experience in the application of race equity, diversity, and inclusion of social justice strategies in human service settings.

Working knowledge of the refugee, immigrant, and asylee challenges.

Experience working for a refugee program.

Solid team builder and team player with proven ability to manage competing priorities, perspectives and stakeholder needs.

Exceptional project management skills, with a focus on TA project management.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing administrative support, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact and diplomacy.

The pay range for this position is:$84,533.00 - $143,706.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
