Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be tasked with various accounting responsibilities from processing vendor invoices and customer payments, reconciling accounts, to assisting in financial reporting.Responsibilities: Accurately process vendor invoices and employee expense reports Handle customer payments and ensure the accuracy of accounts receivable transactions Collaborate with different teams such as finance, operations, and procurement to ensure accurate and timely financial data exchange Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts regularly, recording journal entries for accurate financial data Analyze and track company expenses, identifying trends, discrepancies, and providing insights for budgeting and decision-making processes Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations by maintaining proper documentation of financial transactions Provide assistance during internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries Contribute to the ongoing improvement of accounting processes and systems by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and suggesting solutions. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Expertise in Construction Accounting Familiarity with Accrual Accounting procedures Ability to manage and maintain Depreciation Schedules Experience in executing Month End Close processes Skill in Account Reconciliation Knowledge of Journal Entries preparation and management Proficient in handling General Ledger activities Thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting principles Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
