Medical Claims Analyst

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Medical Claims Analyst in San Antonio, Texas. This role is situated in the healthcare industry and will involve the precise examination and processing of health plan claims. Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process health plan claims, ensuring all submissions align with established guidelines. Provide prompt and accurate responses to inquiries related to claims processing from healthcare providers and other stakeholders. Maintain and update records of all processed claims, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all data. Handle administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the claims processing department, including accurate data entry. Address and resolve any claim-related issues or problems over the phone, maintaining a customer-centric approach. Log disputes and track their resolution process, ensuring all issues are handled promptly and efficiently. Handle incoming phone calls from healthcare providers and other stakeholders, documenting all topics discussed and resolutions achieved. Process incoming mail related to claims and ensure timely distribution. Stay updated on any changes to the specific guidelines and policies of the health plans, adapting to changes in workflow or procedures within the claims processing department. Collaborate with team members to achieve overall departmental goals, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
