Database Administrator

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Database Administrator to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and ensuring the integrity of our databases. You will also play a key role in designing and implementing database systems, making this a crucial position within our team.Responsibilities: Build large scale content management systems that combine data from a variety of sources and formats. Maintain and monitor the availability, security, and integrity of databases, including performing referential integrity checks. Develop a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, especially where pertinent to database issues. Gain expertise in clustering and grid technologies related to database environments. Handle database replication and design database performance specifications. Develop database backup and recovery plans, and database performance/capacity models including disk space capacity plans. Perform advanced database maintenance activities, such as partitioning, index reorganization, transporting tablespaces, and document search management. Assist in recommendation and design phases of database architectures including hardware, software, and the environment architectures thereof. Work with Enterprise Database Solutions such as; Microsoft SQL Server versions 2016, 2019 or later. Oracle Database versions 12c, 19c or later. Demonstrate knowledge of local and wide area networking on multiple platforms: Windows, Unix, Linux, Virtualization technologies; network protocols and routing; network, server, and host operating systems, IP networking, server hardware, software, and administration. Design and implement advanced relationship database components: RAC, DRS, Grid, Log Shipping, or other advance operational or disaster recovery solutions. Maintain continuous application availability such as DRS, HA, Clustering, hot fail-over or other comparable solutions.
