Job Title: Construction CoordinatorJob DescriptionLead and coordinate construction projects involving Body Weld Equipment Installations, relocations, and demolitions at North American plants. Work closely with equipment project leads to coordinate construction activities and maintain project schedules. Responsibilities include creating project estimates, scopes, bid packages, and schedules. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project is required. The role involves coordinating, organizing, planning, and prioritizing work with multiple contractors to maintain schedules and budgets, and rating construction contractor performance on Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and Environmental factors.Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate construction projects involving Body Weld Equipment Installations, relocations, and demolitions.

Work closely with equipment project leads to coordinate construction activities and maintain project schedules.

Create project estimates, scopes, bid packages, and schedules.

Coordinate, organize, plan, and prioritize work with multiple contractors to maintain schedules and budgets.

Rate construction contractor performance on Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and Environmental factors.

Essential Skills

Experience in a construction environment with previous history in project management/supervision of large-scale schedule-driven activities.

General mechanical knowledge of large machinery in an industrial environment.

Working knowledge of basic electrical systems, including checking breakers and understanding voltage.

Schedule manpower and understand overall schedules for large job completions.

Experience in the construction trades.

Strong experience in construction project management.

Safety management experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

BS in engineering preferred but not mandatory with the right experience.

Previous automotive safety or construction experience.

Previous skilled trades experience (Ironworker, Millwright, Electrician, Pipe Fitter).

Experience with machine uncrate, installation, setting, and leveling.

Work EnvironmentMaintain a safe work environment during all activities. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts as typical work is conducted during non-production times. The position is home-based in TMMTX (San Antonio, TX) supporting Region 4 (TMMTX, TMMBC, TMMGT) with mandatory dispatch to other North American facilities to support future projects if the contract is renewed. The role offers 10 PTO days and 9 paid holidays per calendar year. Any hours worked over 40 are compensated at time and a half. Travel for contractors is arranged and covered.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $45.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
