Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the construction industry, located in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be primarily focusing on managing and maintaining financial data with precision and efficiency, while ensuring strong collaboration with your team members in adherence to company policies.Responsibilities: Accurate entry of invoices, purchase orders, and payments into financial systems like Excel and Sage 100. Ensuring the data is reviewed and validated for its accuracy and completeness prior to processing. Reconciliation of invoices to purchase orders and addressing any discrepancies with vendors or internal teams. Execution of check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers as per the schedule. Maintaining payment records and reconciling accounts as needed for accurate bookkeeping. Assisting in the month-end closing processes, which includes accounts payable reconciliation and report preparation. Collaborating with the finance team to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting guidelines. Prompt response to vendor inquiries regarding payment status or other invoice-related matters. Assisting with the generation and distribution of reports as needed. Organizing and maintaining both electronic and physical filing systems for AP documents. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the Construction/Contractor industry. Proficiency in account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records. Experience with Accounts Payable (AP), particularly in managing and maintaining financial documents. Ability to execute check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors. Skills in coding invoices, ensuring correct entries into the financial system. Strong data entry skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and speed. Experience in invoice processing, verifying details, and resolving discrepancies. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis. Familiarity with QuickBooks for managing company accounts, payments, and payroll. Knowledge of SAP for integrated business process management. Experience in payroll processing, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
