A passion for educating children from a play-based perspective, using the environment as an important
teaching tool
An appreciation for the outdoor learning environment, including gardening and natural play spaces
Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, energy, and a love for teaching and learning
Knowledge of best practices for early childhood education including the documentation of children’s
progress by writing anecdotal records, taking photos, and collecting student work
We are looking for Pre-School Teachers. We have part-time and full-time positions available.

Job requirements include:
Dependable
Has reliable transportation
Meets all HHS DFPS Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards criteria, including
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Able to lift up to 35 lbs in connection with the handling of infants and children
Able to stand up to 90% of the day
Able to stoop, bend and sit on a child's level
Able to physically and mentally interact and react to children in the classroom and/or on the playground, and attend to their needs
Early Childhood Teacher Duties include, but not limited to the following:
Implement quality lesson plans using a research-based curriculum
Create environments for children with a strong focus on social and emotional learning
Observe and assess children to plan and individualize care
Maintain developmental records for each child in a comprehensive portfolio
Develop strong relationships with parents and children to foster a teaching home and school connectivity
Understand and stay current on TXDFPS Minimum Standards, as well as criteria for accreditation programs.
Maintain professional personal appearance
Adhere to all policies and procedures as per the Children's Lighthouse Learning Center Employee Handbook
Full Time (35 - 40 hrs/ week)
Starting Pay is $13.00 - $13.50 Hourly
Pay is commensurate with experience

Center Hours: 6:30am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday
