Dispatcher/Customer Service

The Dispatcher will work closely with the Service Manager/Operations Manager to schedule service calls and support the technicians in the field. This individual will schedule and monitor the work of our technicians on jobs daily. A personable demeanor is important for building and maintaining excellent relationships with our technicians and customers. The schedule is a constant work in progress as service calls and emergencies are always coming in, so this individual must have the flexibility and agility to adapt to our customers rapidly changing needs.
Role and Responsibilities
Schedule technicians to complete service calls taking into consideration location, technician s capabilities, and urgency of work orders.
Adjust the schedule throughout the day to accommodate emergencies and incoming service calls.
Communicate closely with technicians as work is being performed to ensure high quality of work and clear scope.
Customer service skills are important including taking service calls and contacting customers throughout the day for scheduling and updates on work to be performed.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email
Other job duties may be included but not limited to filing, invoice entry, proposal/estimate write ups, permit responsibilities, answer multi line phone system, coordinating on call scheduling, etc.
Skills and Traits
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Good communication skills both verbal and written are a must
Knowledge of QuickBooks software and multi-line phone system
Strong problem solving abilities with a focus on customer satisfaction
Must be dependable and able to be on time and work a full work week
Be able to thrive in a constantly changing environment
Work week is Monday through Friday from 8am – 5pm with a
1 hour lunch
