As a Consultant, IT Architecture, you will provide technical direction to the team that delivers platform priorities as per the roadmap. You will evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for the organization. You will collaborate with sales, finance, supply chain and business product divisions to enable them to ach achieve their Lakehouse goals.You will:
Be a technical architect on Dell’s Data Analytics Platform Engineering team
Provide expertise in design, architecture, deploying, upgrading and troubleshooting Dell’s Data Analytics/High Performance Computer platforms
Participate in roadmap planning and technical innovation for Dell’s Data Analytics Platform Engineering team
Collaborate with the technical team and Production management to identify, document, plan contingency, track, and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.

12+ years’ industry experience or equivalent skill; must possess an strong understanding of diverse data platforms/operating systems and current/emerging technologies
Extensive platform (admin) experience working with: big data technologies e.g. Spark, Object Storage, Metadata, Dell Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS)-a big plus; SQL database systems and database technologies e.g. Massively parallel processing (MPP)/Data Warehouse Database, SQL workloads, SQL, Database optimization and internals; distributed file and table formats e.g. Iceberg, Delta, Apache Parquet and common methods in data transformation
Experience with: Java and Python; DevOps tools e.g. GIT, Gitlab, Splunk and Ansible; major Cloud Service providers; building solutions on container platform (Kubernetes) infrastructure
Understanding of hardware and distributed systems performance e.g. CPU, RAM, storage, network, Linux, JVM
Proven strength problem-solving and identifying root issues while continuously seeking ways to drive optimization, efficiency and the bottom line; must have a clear understanding of incident management, change management and problem management processes; need to have ability to detect all service-impacting issues, accurately triage, communicate with partners, contain impacts, restore services and follow up after incidents
Desirable Requirements
Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or related field
