What’s more, we are in collaboration with leading academics, industry experts and highly skilled engineers to equip our customers to generate sophisticated new insights from the biggest of big data.Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Consultant, Data Engineer on our Data Engineering Team in Round Rock, Texas.What you’ll achieveYou will work with Developers, Enterprise Architects, platform Services and Infrastructure team to define governance / Role-based access control (RBAC)/ Attribute-based access control (ABAC) implementation in the Data Mesh. This job requires the team member to help with proof of concepts (POCs) and build functionality to ensure the platforms/data is secure. You will also be responsible for Hardening the solution to make it production ready. Also help define Test cases, automation, documenting best practices.You will:
Be the Subject matter expert implementing governance solutions spanning across Dremio/spark/iceberg technologies
Make recommendations to improve Lakehouse platform throughput and reliability
Implement security measures and access controls for Iceberg tables
Can work well with others to define, review, and revise evolving Data Architecture
Enable secure self service capabilities in the Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS) lakehouse

Proficiency in designing and implementing RBAC and ABAC strategies.
A critical eye to support Governance Requirements.
Strong understanding of data access control mechanisms.
Ability to adapt and assimilate new technologies.
Ability to envision and deliver solutions within a modern infrastructure.
Desirable Requirements
Bachelor’s in Engineering and familiarity with data mesh principles and architecture
Knowledge with Teradata, Greenplum, and ECS
