Litigation Paralegal

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal. The primary function of this role will be to assist with federal litigation focusing on defamation cases, necessitating a significant amount of research, preparation of court materials, and organization of evidence. This role will require on-site work in the countryside of Illinois for certain tasks.Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of statements made in defamation cases Prepare and organize court materials for federal litigation Manage and prepare deposition findings for court proceedings Use Case Management Software and CompuLaw for effective case handling Perform duties such as briefing, calendar management, and claim administration Showcase strong communication skills when dealing with clients or team members Utilize the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for maintaining accurate records Organize and prepare evidence for court proceedings Exhibit organizational agility in managing multiple cases concurrently Understand and comply with federal court procedures, federal law, and federal regulations.Requirements Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal. Proven proficiency in Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS). Demonstrable experience with Case Management Software. Familiarity with CompuLaw software is essential. Ability to handle billing functions effectively. Proven skills in briefing and deposition summary. Experience with calendar management and claim administration. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with depositions and handling federal courts. Demonstrated knowledge of federal law and regulations.
