In this role, you will design and implement automation solutions that enhance efficiency, consistency, and security. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders to drive adoption, ensuring automation becomes an integral part of operational workflows.What you will do:
Developing and implementing automation solutions for provisioning services, application and security solutions to enhance scalability and reduce manual efforts.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including security, operations, infrastructure, and application development—to align automation strategies with business objectives.
Influencing and driving adoption of automation best practices by providing guidance, training, and documentation to ensure seamless integration into existing workflows.
Integrating automation with enterprise tools, APIs, and cloud environments to enhance provisioning processes and security posture.
Implementing security hardening and compliance automation to ensure adherence to RMF, NIST, and CIS benchmarks.
·Optimizing automation workflows by troubleshooting issues, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring high availability.
Qualifications you must have:
Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.
Experience security frameworks and compliance standards (RMF, NIST, CIS benchmarks).
Experience in partnering with teams to integrate automation into security, application, and service provisioning workflows.
Ability to communicate complex automation strategies effectively to influence adoption and process improvements.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
Qualifications we prefer:
Experience Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and best practices.
Experience with Kubernetes based development tools such as Terraform, Helm, Python, Go, and Bash
Experience implementing automation through CI/CD pipelines with GitLab or Jenkins, and developing custom solutions using Python, Golang, or Bash.
Experience with container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) automation.
Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and security automation practices.
Hands-on experience with API integration and automation
Understanding of network security concepts and automated enforcement of security controls.
Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or CISSP.
