Role: Big Data Test Engineer Location: Chicago, IL / Richardson, TX Long Term Contract Job Description:
- 4-6 Years of QA experience in Bigdata Ecosystem -Hortonworks (HiveQL, HDFS), Sqoop, Spark, Kafka
- Knowledge in Shell Scripting/Unix
- Strong skills in various data validation methodologies between source and target of various formats
- Automation capabilities in handling validation of complex files like Json, XML, Parquet
- Strong experience in test management tools
- Teradata SQL Assistant, Zena Scheduler
- Tools such as XMLSPY, Winscp, Putty, Notepad, Ultraedit etc
- SDLC Methodology - Agile / Scrum
- PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
- Azure basic knowledge is a plus
- Experienced in Onsite/Offshore model
- Individual Contributor, flexible to work in multiple projects and works independently
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal, written and communication skills.
