In this role you will get to combine your technical knowledge/experience with business skills to sell software products and services centered around grid-scale energy management.What You'll Be Doing:

Direct experience selling; DERMS, MDMS and related packaged software solutions and services

Direct experience selling software solutions to investor owned utilities public power utilities and cooperative electric utilities.

Finding new clients: Identifying potential clients in a specific sector that may benefit from the product or service

Building relationships: Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty

Understanding customer needs: Analyzing customer requirements and concerns to recommend technology products and provide technical solutions

Demonstrating products: Walking prospects through product demonstrations and answering questions about functionality

Making presentations: Preparing and delivering technical presentations to explain products and services to customers and at trade shows and seminars

Negotiating: Calculating client quotations and negotiating tender and contract terms

Closing sales: Agreeing to terms and conditions to close sales

Providing support: Offering after-sales support services and troubleshooting customer issues

Administering accounts: Managing client accounts and preparing reports Customer Relationship Reports for management

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Previous experience selling software to utilities is required for this role.

Bachelor’s degree with typically 2+ years of related professional experience.

Strong communication and presentation skills, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsible for supporting executives in solution selling to prospects, executing strategic deals, modeling financial business cases, and matching customer requirements to proposed solutions.

Sales experience.

Collaboration skills

Problem-solving.

Extensive US based travel required

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

5 years of relevant experience in a similar Software or Technical Sales role within the Utility Marketis strongly preferred
