Description Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a Senior Accountant to support our health and nutrition manufacturing client on a 3+ month hybrid engagement based in West Los Angeles. This is a rare opportunity to support a company with incredible growth potential. This role will report directly to the CEO and will be critical in overseeing the accounting operations and financial reporting.Responsibilities:
Partner with the 3rd party accounting firm on month-end close (journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis, financial statements, and financial reporting)
Oversee revenue accounting and cash application, including direct patient payments and health plan reimbursement (Collaborate with 3rd party manufacturing and distribution and Medicare)
Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Participate in internal and external audits as required (future state)
Requirements
5+ years of general accounting experience and a strong understanding of GAAP
Experience in the food or healthcare industry would be strongly preferred
Experience with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite or a similarly sized ERP (plus, not required)
Experience with revenue accounting in a healthcare setting, particularly involving direct patient payments and health plan reimbursement, such as Medicare, is highly preferred - meals are ordered via Shopify so this experience with that platform is helpful
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivots, lookups, large data sets)
