Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Telemetry)Our Medical Surgical department is looking for top skilled RN’s. Is that you?Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 W. Parker Plano, TX 75093Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, Days 7:00 am – 7:00 pmMedical Surgical department highlights: Med/surg Telemetry (29 Beds)- Medical Surgical patients and patients on Cardiac Telemetry. We take a wide variety of patients which includes telemetry, post cath management, some cardiac drips etc. Ratio is 1:5 but occasionally goes up to 6 on night shift. This unit has high patient satisfaction and employee engagement scores.Here’s What You Need :Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferredCLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hireBCLS – upon hire – expiration date greater than 3 months preferredACLS -within 90 days requiredCPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 60 days of hire1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program requiredOne (1) year of RN experience in Med/surg Tele strongly preferredIn addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN willDemonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patientspossess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalismhave basic computer skills using Medical management application systemsWhat You Will Do:· Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process· assesses the patient· plans the care of the patient· intervenes as appropriate· evaluates the effectiveness of interventions· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfersAdditional perks of being a Texas Health NurseUnlimited access to online continuing education for professional and career development.
