Responsibilities
- Document and execute black box testing
- Compose manual and automated test scripts for new functionality
- Develop test cases associated with the functional requirements for a project
- Execute test cases and document the results of those test executions
- Test software during integration, release and regression phases and document results
- Review the work produced by other members of the functional analysis team
- Act as a subject matter expert for the application in assigned areas - liaison to development, release management, and support.
- Serve as third tier support and assist the documentation team with release notes
- Participate in several aspects of the development life cycle, including functional design, construction and testing
- Contribute to the improvement of the test and application definition processes
- Identify system constraints, implications, and consequences of various system changes in areas of product ownership
- Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
- 0-3 years of experience.
- Solid understanding of web based technologies, web services and testing strategies.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent problem solving skills, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively work with clients' business requirements and issues.
- General experience or knowledge of relational database concepts, software design concepts, and database modeling preferred.
- General understanding of the software applications/tools and/or the business processes related to local county government preferred.
- Solid understanding of SQL and queries preferred.
- Fast learner, quality consciousness and committed to deadlines
- Automated testing experience a plus.
- Understanding of judicial concepts/processes, local and county government business processes a plus.
- TestRail knowledge a plus
- Leapwork knowledge a plus
