Data Modeler Plano, TX / Remote Need strong profiles. Roles/Responsibilities (5 8 day to day candidate's responsibilities) Job Summary :" Over all 10+ years of experience in Translate Business Requirements to Conceptual and Logical Data Models. Knowledge on Data Modeling Tools: ERwin r7.1/7.2/7.3/8.0, Oracle Designer 12.0 and ER Studio 8.5.3. Databases knowledge on Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MS Access, DB2. Modeling experience in Star-Schema Modeling, Snowflake Schema Modeling, Fact and Dimension tables. Recognize the need for a specific relational design OLTP, OLAP, Data Warehouse from a set of requirements and/or from a Logical Data Model Participate in mapping of Logical to Physical Data Models and vice versa Evaluate other Modeler's logical and/or physical data models for adherence to modeling Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, whether working independently or in teams Identify, recommend and implement emerging Modeling and IT trends, tools and solutions Review junior team members' data models Responsilbilites Collaborate with data architects for data model management and version control. Conduct data model reviews with project team members. Capture technical metadata through data modeling tools. Create data objects (DDL). Enforce standards and best practices around data modeling efforts. Ensure data warehouse and data mart designs efficiently support BI and end user Collaborate with BI teams to create reporting data structures. Equally comfortable in discussing technical/analytical details with technical thought leaders as explaining technical subject matter with a non-technical audience. Good verbal and written communication skills & must have excellent project management skills and have experience managing multiple work streams and projects at one time. Collaborate with other technology teams and architects to define and develop cross- function technology stack interactions
