This role involves ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting operations, developing and implementing effective accounting processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company’s strategic goals. The Director, Segment Finance will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will be pivotal in driving financial efficiency and integrity across operations. Some travel will be required based on business needs.Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight: Manage and optimize day-to-day accounting operations, operation processes, internal controls, including accounts payable, and accounts receivables. Work with key branch operation leaders to ensure financial accuracy.

Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and refine accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Identify and resolve operational issues and inefficiencies.

Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Work with operations team to understand and explain monthly financial variances.

Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits and internal reviews.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with financial planning and analysis teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Monitor and report on financial performance against targets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, procurement, and finance, to support business objectives and ensure alignment of accounting practices.

Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information and insights to senior management and other stakeholders. Provide recommendations for financial improvements and strategic decisions.

Technology Integration: Leverage accounting software and technology to streamline operations and improve data accuracy and accessibility.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 4-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or director-level role. Experience in operational accounting and process improvement is highly desirable.

Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance. Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with ERP systems and financial management tools is a plus.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
