OverviewSt. Luke’s Health Patients Medical Center (PMC), now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, has a great opportunity for an experienced Catheterization Technologist to join our talented cardiac team. We hold accreditations in Computer Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound (US), and Nuclear Medicine from the American College of Radiology (ACR), which is recognized as the gold standard in medical imaging.CommonSpirit Health was formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health. With our combined resources, CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities, advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable, and innovating how and where healing can happen, both inside our hospitals and out in the community.ResponsibilitiesPossesses superior knowledge of the various surgical equipment and advanced surgical instrumentation in at least three or more specialties; Develops, organizes and Delivers continuing education topics as needed by the unit, serving as a liaison to Instrument Techs assigned to the section, and assures equipment is cleaned and maintained as required.

Demonstrates superior knowledge and practice in the first scrub role

Understands supply costs and independently Works with team to assure that quality of care is maintained while cost containment is considered

Demonstrates superior knowledge of the varied surgical equipment and advanced surgical instrumentation. Assures appropriate equipment and supplies are available for each procedure

Assists in communication with Biomedical Services on the status of equipment needing repair or maintenance

Educates staff in the care of instrumentation and equipment

QualificationsThree (3) years of experienceHigh School Diploma/GEDCertified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CST/CSFA) required as of September 1, 2010 or "grandfathered" employees or LVNBCLS for some locations#hellosurgicaltechsPay Range$27.23 - $39.49/hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
