Sr. HSE Manager - Occupational HealthAs a Sr. HSE Manager - Occupational Health here at Solstice Advanced Materials (SAM), you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's occupational health and safety efforts. You will ensure the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with occupational health regulations, and the implementation of best practices in occupational health and safety. You will report directly to our VP of HSE and you'll work out of our Houston, TX or Geismar, LA location on a Hybrid work schedule. Additional SAM sites can be considered. In this role, you will impact our organization by developing and implementing comprehensive occupational health programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that occupational health considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement comprehensive occupational health strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety and health.
Oversee a team of contract occupational health professionals, including specialists and support staff, ensuring efficient and effective occupational health practices.
Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant occupational health regulations, permits, and certifications.
Stay updated on changing regulations and industry best practices in occupational health.
Develop and implement proactive measures, training, and policies to prevent occupational illnesses and injuries in the workplace.

Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant occupational health regulations, permits, and certifications.
Stay updated on changing regulations and industry best practices in occupational health.
Develop and implement proactive measures, training, and policies to prevent occupational illnesses and injuries in the workplace.
Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential occupational health hazards, providing solutions and preventive measures.
Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for occupational health-related incidents.
Manage the occupational health budget, allocate resources, and seek cost-effective solutions to maintain high standards of health and safety.
Promote a culture of health and wellness, implementing programs and initiatives to support employee well-being.
Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on occupational health matters.
Act as Subject Matter Expert in OSHA programs related to high hazard chemicals such as Hydrofluoric acid
Act as Subject Matter Expert in case management of injuries & support workers comp claims
YOU MUST HAVE
6+ years of experience in occupational health management
In-depth knowledge of occupational health regulations and best practices
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
