If you’re ready to grow with us and become part of our vision of being the premier Chemical Company, apply today!Purpose/IntroductionChevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) is seeking an IT Specialist, Plant Infrastructure to join the Information Technology team for the Golden Triangle Polymers (GTP) facility located in Orange, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your experience and be part of a team contributing to the design, startup, and operation of a new plant from the ground up.This critical IT support position will be responsible for implementing and supporting server and infrastructure systems for the plant and, participate in project implementations involving multiple technologies, as well as provide after-hours support with other team members and groups outside of IT. Initially this position will report to the IT Manufacturing System manager iand later report to the GTP IT Manager.This position will be assigned to the project location in Orange, TX and will transition to ongoing operations following commissioning and startup with an expected commitment through stable start-up operations.Responsibilities

Install, configure, monitor, tune and maintain all plant server systems, storage area networks, network printers, VMware (hosts, guest machines, and vCenter), and Nutanix AHV.

Compliance with change management and business continuity policies

Executing IT projects with strong attention to detail.

Communicates effectively with technology and business teams independently.

Act as liaison between internal customers and Headquarters IT subject matter experts.

Organization and facilitation of meetings.

Builds effective long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

Collaborates across teams to solve challenging and high-value problems.

Shares and incorporates best practices from the industry using new and upcoming tools and technologies.

Required Qualifications

Strong commitment to safety.

Bachelors degree plus eight years of experience; OR associates degree plus 10 years of experience; OR 12 years of experience in lieu of degree.

5+ years of server / network administration experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the following technologies: Microsoft (MS) operating systems, Cisco networking, AHV (preferred), MS PowerShell (preferred), MS SharePoint, NetBackup, and Citrix

Experience with the following hardware: HP ProLiant servers, Nutanix, Cisco.

Knowledge of Agile project methodology.

Knowledge of processes for change management, cloud reviews, privacy assessments, and project management.

Experience with petrochemical, refining, manufacturing plant environments.
