Duties include reading and interpreting blueprints, setting up and operating various machining tools such as lathes (horizontal and vertical), milling machines, and drills presses, boring mills. Must be able to precisely measure and machine raw materials into finished parts according to specifications and instructions. Must be able to inspect completed products for quality, maintaining equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Candidate must background check and Drug Test
Position 40 hours per week
The Machinist must have basic knowledge of Lathe, VTL, Drill Press, Horizontal Boring Mill, Mill Machine
Qualifications:
· 2+ years' experience Manual Machining
· Perform own setup
· Experience working in a fast-paced work environment (as needed)
Responsibilities:
· Read & interpret prints & drawings to setup, edit & machine parts to tight specifications & tolerances
· Must be able to maintain tolerances
· Utilize common machining tools: micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc. to perform QC on finished parts
· Personal Tooling preferred

· Ability to work safely and keep a safe and clean working environment.
· Responsible for documentation generated or related to production of the job.
· Be punctual, reliable, and have a strong attention to detail.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements.
Ability to safely operate hand tools such as: grinder, hammer, wrench and pry bar.
Basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills.
Ability to work well with others including all levels of management.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written (spanish is a big plus)
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
