HIRING DIESEL MECHANIC
Pay Range: DOE/Contract
Minimum Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Two years of experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, diesel engines and controls.
Repairing, maintaining, removing and/or replacing of radiators, water pumps and coolant hoses, alternators and regulators, o steering components and hoses, brake drums and shoes, liquid and air filters, suspension components, o gauges, lights (interior and exterior), wheel bearings and seals, o door assemblies and controls, pneumatic valves, control cables.
Repair gas/diesel AC systems.
Knowledge & understanding of diagnostic tools used to identify fault codes.
Must have your own tools to perform the maintenance and repair work.
Must have a valid CDL.
Must be qualified to work in the United States.
Essential Functions:
Perform repairs & maintenance.
Diagnose & evaluate problems with equipment.
Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs.
Parts ordering.
Organize, clean, and maintain a safe work environment.
Record keeping of paper and electronic records in connection with maintenance performed.
Clearly communicate with RDS personnel of the methods/sequence used to perform maintenance/repairs.
Diesel Mechanic Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for an extended period with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workday as well as Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying
Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold, dusty conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors.
Ability to maintain personal PPE in a functional condition.
ASE Diesel Certification Preferred
