Description A company in The Woodlands area is currently looking for a Project Coordinator in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have project management experience as well as strong work plan development and project oversight skills. He/She will be expected to prepare and present progress updates to management on a regular basis. They will support and enhance the capacity of other project coordinators and supervisor(s) to fulfill their responsibilities and meet their expectations.If you are interested and qualified, please apply today!Responsibilities:Project and process management to include: Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise Permit applications Help acquire pricing for estimate preparation Maintain and execute timely projectsProperty Management Managing leases Coordinating move ins/move outs Assist with and attend walk throughs/inspections after move outs Provide excellent customer service to customers and tenants Research and update database information for all contractsEssential Skills and Experience: 2-3 years’ experience as project coordinator or combination of education/training that demonstrates the ability to coordinate projects Outstanding time management and organizational skills; ability to handle several projects concurrently Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven, high-pressure environment Ability to review and understand basic construction drawings and specifications Ability to work independently and self-direct; takes initiative in seeking efficiencies of processes. Excellent communication skills in conversation and written correspondence to management, project team, sub-contractors, and customers. Self-driven with strong work ethic Ability to give direction, adapt to change, and establish relationships Intermediate MS Office experience required (Excel, Word, Outlook) plus the ability to learn in-house programs QuickBooks Online experience preferred Must have a reliable vehicle, some driving required Position requires periodic day trips out of town Dependable and punctualRequirements Possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to manage timelines effectively and efficiently. Previous experience with scanning and other document management duties. Familiarity with the dynamics of construction projects. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on detail and follow-through. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proactive problem-solving skills. Adaptability to changing project needs and priorities. Experience in a similar role as a Project Assistant would be advantageous. Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
