The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the HR department. Successful incumbents will manage HR programs, Talent Development, and policies and procedures for the business. Responsibilities include strong positive employee relations, effective communications, training & and development, safety, benefits administration, recruitment & and hiring. You’ll get to:· Provide support to all major HR functions such as Employee Relations, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Engagement and Training· Represent employee advocacy and strong business partner relations· Develop an employee-oriented culture that strives for safety, quality, continuous improvement, and productivity· Work together with employees, supervisors, and managers to resolve employee relations issues· Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures· Reinforces and advocates for Open Door Policy across the leadership team· Adheres to Employee handbook on policies and procedures· Fosters a consistent, clear, concise communication plan· Plan and coordinate recruitment strategies. This includes sourcing (internet, job fairs, newspapers, agencies, etc.) interviewing, selection, diversity initiatives, background checks, drug testing, and manpower planning· FMLA/Disability administration/Worker’s Compensation administration· Support Payroll administration, training, and new hire orientation· Participates in working groups, councils, and committees· Support HR-related projectsThe Person:You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. Bachelor’s degree preferred/Associates degree required

3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources employee relations

·Experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills

Strong conflict management skills

Highly skilled in MS Office Suite. (PowerPoint, Excel) required

Workday preferred

Results-driven, self-motivated with an emphasis on keeping customer and business commitments.

Consistently demonstrates the highest level of personal ethical conduct and leads by example with strong values.

·Experience managing and maintaining confidentiality (including treatment of confidential documents).

·Strong customer focus with the ability to manage and organize multiple priorities.

·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·Willing to occasionally work additional hours to cover shifts for communication rhythms.
