You’ll get to:
Primarily the administrative assistant for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) department. This includes filing, maintaining records and assisting the EHS Manager as needed.
Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments.
Maintain relevant EHS logs and documentation.
Assist in the compliance of environmental and safety applicable laws and regulations.
Prepare EHS reports as requested.
Assist in the development and presentation of relevant EHS training.
Comply with all EHS procedures and policies.
Coordination of training activities.
Participate in “Safety Committee” within the branch and regularly review and performs safety activities.
Responsible for maintaining complex files, keeping records, typing, filling, document presentation and preparation as needed.
Maintain EHS records.
Perform safety and housekeeping audits.
Maintain records for New Hire training.
Assist with site EHS data to include EHS central.
Prepare documents and maintain paperwork on all near miss incidents.
Assist with forklift training records and compliance.
Purchase, distribute and store inventory for all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Assist in/lead new Hire EHS training as required.
Other duties as assigned.

HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
2-year previous EHS experience preferred
Prior experience in a distribution center environment preferred
Ability to read, write and comprehend basic work instructions, short correspondence and memos
Computer proficiency including use of Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Capable of using common sense understanding to carry our detailed instructions including written and oral
