Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities.Requisition ID:39170BRTravel Required:Up to 75%Major/Essential Functions:Position Objective:The Regional Transformation Support Specialist (RTSS) supports US PREP’s mission to provide on-the-ground support to colleges of education, with the larger goal of ensuring that every child, especially our children of color who are living in poverty, have access to highly effective teachers. A Regional Transformation Support Specialist provides the support and training to set of coalition providers. The universities within the project are geographically isolated and have unique needs. With numerous programs, professional development needs to be locally delivered and tailored to meet the needs of each program.

On-the-Ground Support

Conducts monthly visits to provide on-the-ground support and services to partner universities

Facilitates weekly virtual meetings with providers

Conducts needs assessments using the US PREP Developmental Framework

Works collaboratively with providers to develop Individual Transformation Plans (ITPs)

Facilitates Quarterly Outcome Reviews to formally monitor members’ progress

Works closely with leadership teams to examine current budget structures in order to ensure sustainability of transformation initiatives

Creates resources/materials and makes them available on the US PREP Toolkit

Designs, plans, and facilitates summer trainings for site coordinators and program leaders

Researches and stays abreast of national landscape issues and developments that impact US PREP support and services (Higher Education Act, CAEP accreditation and standards, Common Core, cultural competency, Social and Emotional Learning, etc.)

Program Leadership:

Lead and manage a team of Clinical Coaches to build relationships with coalition providers

Builds and maintains external relationships with national partner organizations

Consistently monitors program effectiveness and uses outcomes for improvement

Doctorate degree preferred, master's in education required

Faculty member at a university in the US PREP Coalition preferred

Experience in effectively coordinating and leading TPP transformation efforts in teacher evaluation competencies, integrates K-12 curriculum, and provides consistent opportunities for candidates to practice teaching in safe settings, and apply teaching skills in the P-12 classroom

Experience in adult education or professional development and leading effective teams

Ability to work and collaborate effectively with diverse populations, including multicultural experience and cross-cultural communication skills

Demonstrated leadership in promoting equity and diversity
