Description As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. In addition, you'll be in communication with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, participating in compliance, and reviewing schedules for the reporting processes. A highly involved position, it works to produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management
Partake in annual closing processes
Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments
Maintain monthly payment schedules
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
