job detailsjob summary:Heavy manufacturing facility undergoing significant growth and expansion, is seeking a dedicated Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive efficiency, optimize processes, and enhance overall operational performance. The ideal candidate will possess a background in lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and project management within a heavy manufacturing environment.Short term- you get to make an immediate impact and be involved in a company that is investing heavily into their plant. Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the heavy manufacturing plant, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing processes.

Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement using lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement action plans aimed at streamlining production, improving product quality, and reducing cycle times.

Lead root cause analysis investigations to identify the underlying factors contributing to process inefficiencies, defects, and deviations from standards.

Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process performance and monitor progress towards improvement goals.

Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste elimination.

Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate team members on continuous improvement concepts, tools, and techniques.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement by fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging employee involvement and empowerment.

Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and best practices in manufacturing operations.

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in continuous improvement methodologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
