IT Security Analyst

Description We are in search of a Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Midland, Texas. This role involves analyzing and maintaining enterprise security infrastructure, recommending solutions and technologies, and safeguarding our IT assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and actively protecting the company's information technology assets from threats. Responsibilities: Analyze and maintain the enterprise security infrastructure. Recommend solutions, products, and technologies to meet security objectives. Protect IT assets and infrastructure from external or internal threats. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements regarding information access, security, and privacy. Implement firewall solutions to secure data and provide consultation on new firewall implementations and configuration changes. Assist end-users and other IT professionals in requesting security variances and implementing configuration change requests. Recommend best security practices to achieve business objectives, advise on risk assumptions for any variances granted and provide alternatives to achieve desired end results. Assist in incident response for any breaches, intrusions, or theft. Monitor systems for anomalies, perform proper updating, and patching. Monitor vendor websites for potential threat alerts and software upgrades. Evaluate and perform planning, testing, and implementation of software and hardware upgrades. Maintain system documentation and configuration data for regulatory and audit purposes. Utilize skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Design, Eigrp, Firewall Technologies. Requirements Possession of a minimum of 5 years of experience in Cyber Security Engineering. Proficient in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). Experience with Checkpoint software. Familiarity with Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies. Fundamental knowledge in Computer Hardware. Skilled in Configuration Management. Ability to Design and implement security strategies. Experience with Eigrp. Proficiency in various Firewall Technologies. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team and individually. Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
