Description Are you looking to contribute your skills at a well-respected organization as an Accounting Clerk? Robert Half is looking for a candidate to support a department as an Accounting Clerk. This role is with a company in the Energy/Natural Resources industry. The Accounting Clerk position will require matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position based in the Midland, Texas area.What you get to do every day
Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit
Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Upload financial information to journals and ledgers
Classify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources
Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended
Analyze Revenues experience desired
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Earlier work involving Accounts Payable (AP)
Command of Annual Revenue
Proven knowledge of 10 Key Accounting
General familiarity with account reconciliation
Wide ranging experience with Accounting Principles
Well-founded grasp of Account Coding
Microsoft experience
Quality experience with Accounting Entries
Practical knowledge of Accounting cycle
Good understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Deep understanding of Joint Interest Billing (JIB)
Excellent data entry skills
