Job Summary: This role is a part of the McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC) Organization, reporting to the McKinney CMC General Manager. This is an on-site position that is responsible for driving change across the CMC factories. The role will participate in the execution of long-term and short-term strategy to ensure sustainable results that meet or exceed financial and operational targets. The candidate will plan and facilitate the application of the CORE operating system and Continuous Improvement. The candidate will develop and lead CORE transformation initiatives across the organization. This role will influence across all levels of the organization. The candidate will be responsible for making enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of CMC factories. The candidate will be responsible for assuring adherence to project schedules and costs. This includes leading the CMC long-range capital planning, appropriation request generation, and project execution. The candidate will draw Lean Six Sigma principles of engineering analysis design to specify predictive methods for evaluating results of a complex system. The candidate also incorporates the best practices of lean six sigma and lean manufacturing to reduce lead-time, improve process flow, and gain efficiencies to reduce overall system costs in manufacturing and support functions. The Candidate will represent and lead digitization initiatives within the CMC factories. Overview of responsibilities include CORE deployment, Tiered Accountability, manufacturing strategy, business management processes, capital planning and execution, management information systems, facility tours, tool and fixture control, chemical management, metrics tracking and reporting, command media, Industry 4.0 support, and cost control for materials and overhead, calibrations, and R&M. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Leads/facilitates complex projects/transformations that cut across organizational, functional, and internal boundaries.
Establishes metrics and ensuring targets are met.
Drives resolution of complex problems and manages closure actions.
Leads CORE/Continuous Improvement culture and competency improvement across the organization driving visual factory transformation.
Develops methods for identifying, sharing, and implementing best practices across the organization.
Prepares and presents a concise and comprehensive business case and project summary to all levels of the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience in Operations and/or business Operations or an Advanced degree and minimum of 7 years of related experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a government US security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project management experience.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Project to management projects.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Possess a strong understanding of Lean principles and implementation of Lean strategies.
Experience utilizing change management skills.
Possess a strong business acumen to manage financial budgets and cost impact reporting.
Ability to implement and maintain cost controls.
