DIESEL MECHANIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
Pan American Auto LLC is a locally owned mechanic shop that is constantly growing, with over 7 years in business our clientele has grown and the need for an experienced diesel mechanic has become essential in the daily activities of our shop. Our company is looking for an experienced diesel mechanic that can perform the following duties:
1. Properly diagnose a vehicle using our scan tools and with your experience come up with a solution to the repair of a unit thus prolonging the vehicles longevity. Must have knowledge of Cummins and Freightliner engines.
2. Be computer literate and be familiar with Mitchel1 Software (Will train).
3. Must be able to use common sense when fixing or working on a vehicle.
4. MUST be punctual, on time, and ready to work at your assigned scheduled time.
5. Must be a team player and help other mechanics with questions and or concerns that may arise while working on vehicles, with a positive attitude.
6. Answer questions for other mechanics, when needed.
7. Must own tools.
8. Must have 5+ years in diesel mechanic experience.
9. Must be familiar with mechanic terminology when conducting a diagnosis.
10. Troubleshoot and run diagnostics on a regular vehicles and Diesel Freightliners, Hino’s, and Internationals, as well as being familiar with the removal and replacement of simple parts like fuel filters, roll up doors, etc.
11. Our diesel mechanic will conduct diagnosis on units only but will be assigned to work on a unit every now and then as needed in our daily productivity and daily demand.
