Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA) licensed by the State of Texas
Must have previous RECENT experience of at least 1 year.
Must have positive attitude toward the elderly, maintain resident confidentiality, treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing basic nursing care to residents within the scope of the nursing assistant responsibilities and performs basic nursing procedures under the direction of the licensed nurse supervisor.
Assist residents with Activities of daily living. Knowledge of standards, policies, procedures and organizational structure of the facility.
Interpersonal skills necessary to exchange information and maintain courteous relationship with patients, families and visitors.
Complete all necessary documentation, department logs and reports.
Assist the nurse with admitting patients
Have knowledge of simple wounds and application of dressings
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm as well as willingness to handle difficult clients
