Seeking an experienced, FEMALE caregiver who is patient, kind and compassionate, to be a caring companion to and assist an elderly couple with daily living in Rio Grande City, TX.
This is a LONG TERM, LIVE-IN assignment. The couple is normally ambulatory, one with a walker, but you still must keep an eye on them. Currently the female client is recovering from an injury and does need assistance going to and from the bathroom in a wheelchair. Male client has dementia, keeps to himself and likes his alone / quiet time. He is very low maintenance. Most interaction will be with the female client.
An ideal fit would be someone who is quiet, remains calm, and who shows compassion, even in times of frustration. No bad attitudes!
Can speak English or Spanish.
DUTIES INCLUDE (But are not limited to):
Companionship
Meal Preparation
Medication / Vitamin Reminders
Light Housekeeping, Laundry, Organizing
Assistance with bathing, grooming and dressing
Driving (Errands, appointments, etc.)
Stand by and assist
We do have someone who comes to help five days a week, for around six hours a day, so you will not be completely alone with duties. She can help train / assist you with work, but we do need a person who takes initiative and learns quickly.
Drug and smoke free home!
PREFFERED:
At least one (1) year of senior caregiving experience
Current Driver's License w/reliable vehicle, insurance & a clean driving record

Buscamos una CUIDADORA con experiencia, una MUJER, paciente, amable y compasiva, para ser una compañera cariñosa y asistir a una pareja de ancianos con su vida diaria en Rio Grande City, TX.
Este es un trabajo a largo plazo, viviendo en el lugar. La pareja normalmente es ambulatoria, uno con un andador, pero aún así debes mantener un ojo sobre ellos. Actualmente, la cliente mujer se está recuperando de un daño y necesita ayuda para ir al baño porque está en silla de ruedas. El cliente hombre tiene demencia, se mantiene en sí mismo y le gusta su tiempo solo / tranquilo. Es de muy bajo mantenimiento. La mayor parte de la interacción será con la mujer.
Una situación ideal sería alguien que sea tranquila, permanezca en calma y muestre compasión, incluso en momentos de frustración. Sin malos modales!
Puede hablar inglés o español.
LAS FUNCIONES INCLUYEN (pero no se limitan a):
- Compañerismo
- Preparación de comidas
- Recordatorios de medicamentos / vitaminas
- Limpieza ligera, lavandería, organización
- Asistencia con el baño, arreglo personal y vestirse
- Conducción (mandados, citas, etc.)
- Estar de pie y ayudar
Tenemos a alguien que viene a ayudar cinco días a la semana, durante aproximadamente seis horas al día, así que no estarás completamente sola. Ella puede ayudar a entrenarte/asistirte en el trabajo, pero necesitamos a alguien que tome la iniciativa y aprenda rápidamente.
PREFERIDO:
- Al menos un (1) año de experiencia en cuidado de ancianos
- Licencia de conducir actual con vehículo confiable, seguro y un historial de conducción limpio
- Vacunaciones contra el COVID
