Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop essential social and cognitive skills.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide attentive, loving, and responsible care to children in a safe and supervised environment.
-Maintain a structured schedule that includes learning activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods.
-Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by following proper safety protocols.
-Curriculum & Learning Development:
-Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
-Use various teaching techniques such as storytelling, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor activities to engage children.
-Foster creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning through hands-on experiences.
-Behavioral & Social Development:
-Encourage positive behavior through reinforcement, patience, and guidance.
-Help children develop social skills by promoting cooperation, communication, and empathy.
-Address behavioral concerns in a supportive manner, working with parents when necessary.
Communication & Parent Engagement:
-Maintain open and positive communication with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
-Provide updates on milestones, behavior, and any concerns through verbal communication or written reports.
-Collaborate with parents and staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.
-Classroom Management & Hygiene:
-Keep the classroom clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
-Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation practices.
-Assist children with personal hygiene needs, such as handwashing and diaper changes (if applicable).
Qualifications & Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED required
-Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or educational setting.
-CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children.
-Ability to lift small children and engage in physical activities such as kneeling, bending, and playing.
