Couriers are a critical component of providing customer service throughout the organization. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Picks up and delivers mail, supplies, etc to and from assigned locations in a timely manner.

Drives a defined pick-up and delivery route as scheduled.

Obeys all traffic laws and follows safe traffic and transportation procedures.

Maintains on-time delivery schedule while handling occasional STAT requests.

Maintains professionalism in all interactions including in use of language, attire, and demeanor.

Maintains cleanliness and order in work area.

Maintains cleanliness in company vehicles.

Handles routine maintenance of the organizations vehicles including oil changes, tire rotations, etc., per manufacturers specifications.

Notifies supervisor of vehicle repair needs.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participates actively as part of the Central Supply team including identifying potential efficiencies, implementing cost-saving strategies, and improving service.

Assists in filling requisitions as requested by supervisor.

Checks in deliveries as needed

Answers phone calls as requested and takes messages as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:High school diploma or equivalent.Experience:Experience as a courier or delivery experience strongly preferred. Must have and maintain an excellent driving record.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Must have good verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate clearly and effectively.

Must possess excellent social skills for effective interpersonal interaction within Central Supply, with other ARC/CMS departments, and with outside vendors.

Attention to detail.

Certificate/License:Valid Texas Drivers License and excellent driving record.
