OverviewSt. Luke’s Health-Memorial paves the way for quality innovative health care in East Texas and provides more than a quarter of a million patient services each year. With hospitals in Lufkin Livingston and San Augustine St. Luke’s Health-Memorial provides millions of dollars in charity care and community support each year.ResponsibilitiesPlans and executes all special events within the system; manages social media activity; manages system electronic display boards; purchases and manages all promotional items for marketing events. Manages annual Power of Pink Luncheons; Media Relations and Crisis Management; writer. Assists in managing brand standards for the system. Displays professional, safe conduct in all interactions. Maintains positive working relationships with staff, other departments, physicians and peers. Displays conduct in support of St. Luke’s Health Memorial Mission & Vision.Position Responsibilities:

Lead writer for the employee newsletter and medical staff briefing. Other writing tasks include, but not limited to, brochures, news releases, and memos.

Assist in the development of advertising across all mediums including print, broadcast and web.

Assist in maintaining the hospital’s websites.

Leverage marketing automation tools including marketing project management software, and database technologies in the production and evaluation of lead generation/CRM programs.

Assist with brand guardianship, ensuring all programs and messages are consistent with the System brand strategy.

Assist in outreach efforts for direct marketing to physician customers.

Work with Service Line managers to formulate marketing strategies for their targeted health program.

Work with Service Line managers to help develop and produce appropriate communications, internal and external.

Assist with development of, research and organization of media relations stories, print, broadcast and web.

Produce written materials for president/CEO and COO of the organization.

Manages deadlines; writes content for two publications, Employee Newsletter and Medical Staff Briefing.

Develops and maintains knowledge and understanding of information technology, including operating systems, telecommunications, and networking.

Communicates with others professionally and diplomatically; maintains cooperative efforts with all staff/departments.

Demonstrates sound judgment in the ability to organize workflow.

Adheres to St. Luke’s Health Memorial policies, including but not limited to “Values & Ethics at Work”, HIPPA, PHI, ePHI, Privacy Rule, and confidentiality.

Maintains safe work habits; adheres to safety rules; immediately reports any unsafe condition; immediately reports any incident / injury.

Supports department-based goals and contributes to the success of the organization. Complies with hospital policies and procedures; attends required in – services, education and training.

Performs duties in accordance with that of hospital policies and procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.

Wears identification badge and clocks in appropriately.

Demonstrates a willingness to follow the chain of command, regularly channels suggestions, criticisms and complaints to the appropriate person.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree - Marketing, communications, Journalism or related field

Five (5) years of management level experience at a comparable size company

Preferred: Strong writing experience and Digital Marketing.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, interviewing and presentation capabilities.

Strong interpersonal skills, with a true customer service focus and the ability to quickly gain the confidence and trust of others.

In-depth understanding of marketing tools and tactics, with experience developing and implementing strategic marketing plans with associated metrics.

Excellent working knowledge of digital media, with experience leveraging this ever-evolving tool to support the overall marketing plan.

Strong organizational skills, with a proven record of managing multiple priorities and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment with the potential of contrasting priorities from different sources.
