37017BRExtended Job Title:Tradesperson - HVACPosition Description:Safely performs journeyperson level tasks in the fabrication, construction, maintenance, alteration and repair of fixtures, equipment, structures, buildings, and built-in components for Texas Tech facilities. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Requisition ID:37017BRTravel Required:NoneMajor/Essential Functions:

Inspects HVAC systems and their components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.

Perform electrical task to include: preventive maintenance and replace motors.

Repairs heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (actuators, motors, thermostats transformers, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a comfortable work environment.
