Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.Requisition ID:36944BRTravel Required:NonePay Grade Maximum:Pay is commensurate to work being performed.Major/Essential Functions:Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center seeks an adjunct instructor for their online Post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in the School of Health Professions at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Instructor of Occupational Therapy for the Post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy program. The open position is for an adjunct position in an online format. The primary role of the appointment is for educating within the Post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy program in one or more of the following areas: evidence-based practice, outcomes measurement, health and wellness, leadership, practice-based scholarship, and/or current issues in occupational therapy. Earned doctorate degree

Will consider those with a master’s degree who are working toward a doctoral degree

3 years’ clinical experience as an occupational therapist

Current occupational therapy licensure

Demonstrated expertise and experience in areas relevant to advanced practice in occupational therapy as follows:

evidence-based practice

outcomes measurement

health and wellness

leadership

practice-based scholarship

current issues in occupational therapy

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Major/Essential Functions:

Teach courses within the online Post-Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program as assigned by the program director

Facilitate meaningful discussions, promote critical thinking, and provide constructive feedback to students to foster their professional growth

Collaborate with program faculty and staff to continuously enhance the quality and effectiveness of the program curriculum and educational experiences

Knowledge of the Rehabilitation Treatment Specification System (RTSS)

Knowledge of the Subject-centered Integrative Learning Model in Occupational Therapy (SCIL-OT)

Prior teaching experience at the graduate level, preferably in occupational therapy or related healthcare disciplines

5 years’ experience in a clinical setting

Online teaching experience
