Title: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: 3615 19th Street Lubbock TX 79410 (Onsite)Duration: 04+ ContractPay Range $20.00 to $24.30/hr.We are looking for a “Maintenance Technician” to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.Job SummaryThe Building Maintenance Technician, working under close supervision, is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of building systems and ensuring the facility remains in optimal condition. This role requires a variety of trade skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and HVAC maintenance. The technician will follow safety codes, regulations, and company policies to perform day-to-day, preventive, and emergency maintenance tasks efficiently.Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the operation and performance monitoring of building systems.

Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.

Complete and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.

Review and prioritize assigned work orders, estimating time and materials needed.

Order materials and supplies as necessary for task completion.

Support the installation and modification of building equipment systems.

Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including plumbing, kitchen equipment, drains, and HVAC.

Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Maintain facility lighting systems, including cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.

Perform carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.

Respond promptly to emergency situations, calling for additional support as required.

Escort vendors when necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; a minimum of one year of relevant experience or training.

Valid driver’s license may be required.

Ability to comprehend, interpret, and clarify instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Basic Microsoft Office Outlook skills.

Ability to write routine reports and respond to common inquiries or complaints.

Analytical skills for simple calculations, such as percentages.

Experience with a work order system and use of email, ESS, and PDA.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds.
