Duties & Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of a "C" level operator are as follows, but not limited to the items listed below:
Reports directly to the Shift Supervisor and keeps the Shift Supervisor informed of condition and changes.
Is knowledgeable of extruder operations.
Promotes the safe use of equipment and adherence to the plant safety rules.
Has the main focus on quality, production rates and problem areas affecting the process.
Performs additional tasks as defined by the Shift Supervisor
Able to operate all equipment required to fulfill the job requirements:
Forklift
Overhead crane
Micrometer
Able to do a complete line set up with little supervision.
Able to perform length, width and thickness adjustments to the die.
Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
High school education or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
Good oral and written communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
At least 6 months or more of production experience.
At least 6 months or more of extrusion experience.
Extrusion Technician: Position Grade B
Position Objective
The Extruder operator is responsible for executing the production to achieve established standards of production, safety, and housekeeping. This is done primarily through maintaining standards such that customer satisfaction of finished product is maximized.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reports directly to the Shift Supervisor and keeps the Shift Supervisor informed of condition and changes.
Is knowledgeable in all aspects of extruder operation for the assigned lines.
Promotes the safe use of equipment and adherence to the plant safety rules.
Interacts, as instructed, with maintenance to minimize the time required for equipment repairs and scheduled shutdowns.
Has the main focus on quality, production rates and problem areas affecting the process.
Is able to do all extrusion line set-up-free-foam, Celuka, and Deck Board for the assigned line.
Is able to troubleshoot the following items:
Processing condition on all products
Screw conveyor system
Extruder
All downstream equipment
Performs additional tasks as defined by the Shift Supervisor
Inspects the finished product for quality problems and takes corrective action to resolve these problems.
Keeps the necessary records of production equipment, conditions, and rates, as instructed. Submit a shift report to the Shift Supervisor.
Is capable of performing the Supervisor's duties on an interim basis.
Able to pinpoint troubleshooting and make adjustments accordingly.
Be responsible for all equipment and tools.
Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
