Overview$20,000 SIGN ON BONUS for FULL TIME positions for RN candidates with over 1 year of experience. This is paid out in one lump sum in the paycheck after you’ve been employed by us for 30 days (contingent on meeting the requirements.)Emergency Room NurseOverview:Recent construction has expanded our Memorial Livingston emergency room to 23,500 square feet. With state-of-the-art technology and increased resources, our ER can now serve even more of our growing community. The new facility includes 26 treatment stations, including three trauma rooms, 16 exam rooms, and adjacent radiology, ultrasound, and CT rooms. There are also designated areas for disaster response and decontamination.This state-of-the-art facility builds on the foundation of expert care you can expect at our Livingston hospital. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly as you’ll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while you’re providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team, you’ll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients by performing IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions.To thrive as an ER nurse, you should exhibit teamwork, professionalism, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to take on additional projects such as patient experience initiatives. Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients.

Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team, adapting care to changes in patient’s condition as needed.

Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs. Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition.

Engage in other activities that will benefit patient outcomes, such as patient experience initiatives, mentoring, etc.

QualificationsQualifications:

Associates Degree in Nursing In Nursing

One (1) Year of Nursing Experience preferred

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in Texas

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Specialty certification (ex: CCRN, CNOR, CEN) preferred

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
