Description A position has opened up for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk at a a company in the Construction/Contractor field. This position is offered through Robert Half. Become an integral part of a company in the Construction/Contractor industry as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. Located in League City, Texas, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary position. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.Responsibilities
Perform special projects as assigned
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Accomplish full-cycle A/P
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis Requirements - Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Knowledge of Prepare Checks
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
Solid understanding of QuickBooks
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
