With yards located in both Laredo, Texas, and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, we ensure efficient and seamless cross-border operations. We are seeking a skilled Terminal Manager to oversee our Nuevo Laredo operations and help drive the continued success of our business.

Job Description:

As the Terminal Manager for our Nuevo Laredo location, you will be responsible for managing the overall operations at our terminal, ensuring smooth coordination between drivers, staff, and clients. You will also be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day logistics of transporting automotive parts freight between the U.S. and Mexico. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and business management skills, along with the ability to operate across both the Laredo and Nuevo Laredo yards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the operations at both the Laredo, TX, and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico terminals.

Supervise a team of B-1 drivers and manage their routes, ensuring compliance with cross-border regulations.

Supervise a team of Intra-Mexico drivers and manage their routes, ensuring compliance with Mexico transportation regulations.

Ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods between the U.S. and multiple manufacturing plants in Mexico.

Manage daily scheduling, dispatch, and communication between operations staff, drivers, and clients.

Maintain operational efficiency by optimizing routes and managing resources effectively.

Oversee the mechanical maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers, ensuring vehicles are in safe, working condition.

Lead the terminal office, managing administrative tasks, budgeting, and other business operations.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.

Respond to emergency situations promptly and be available 24/7 for operational issues.

Collaborate closely with teams in both the U.S. and Mexico to ensure smooth and effective communication.

Analyze business performance and implement strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Respond in a timely manner to phone calls and texts due to the important nature of this position.

Requirements:

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the trucking, logistics, and transportation industry, particularly in cross-border operations between the U.S. and Mexico.

Business Acumen: Proven experience in running and managing a business or terminal, including budgeting, cost management, and operational strategy.

Cross-Border Experience: Ability to travel across the U.S.-Mexico border between Laredo and Nuevo Laredo to manage both yards and ensure seamless operations.

Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of truck and trailer mechanics, including maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure the fleet operates safely and efficiently.

Bilingual: Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is mandatory to manage both the operational and administrative sides of the business effectively.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of drivers, staff, and maintenance personnel.

24/7 Availability: Must be available to answer phone calls and respond to emergencies or urgent operational issues at any time, day or night.

Office Management: Experience in running an office, including handling administrative duties, documentation, scheduling, and communication with clients and vendors.

Education & Experience: High school diploma required; a degree in logistics, business management, or a related field is a plus. Previous experience in terminal management, fleet operations, or logistics management is strongly preferred.
