Job Overview:
Join our team as an on-call Warehouse Associate, where you'll play a crucial role in the shipping and receiving processes. This position requires individuals who are physically fit, have a flexible schedule, detail-oriented, and adept at following instructions. As a Warehouse Associate, you'll be responsible for various tasks, including handling merchandise, utilizing computer systems, and adhering to company protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Lift and move pallets or boxes of merchandise, sometimes by hand
Operate warehouse equipment safely, including a pallet jack, hand truck, cutting tools, etc.
Stand or walk for extended periods during the workday.
Follow instructions with precision to ensure efficient workflow.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, free of obstructions.
Handle fragile items with utmost care to prevent damage.
Utilize a Windows computer with keyboard and mouse for daily tasks.
Demonstrate basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and tracking.
Follow established company and supervisor protocols and procedures.
Perform tasks such as building and breaking down pallets, accepting deliveries, and maintaining accurate logs of work completed.
Be flexible and open to additional tasks and duties as assigned to meet company and customer needs.
Requirements:
Available to work with 24 hours of notice.
Physical ability to lift 50-100lbs and stand or walk for much of the day.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Basic computer skills, including the use of Windows, keyboard, and mouse.
Experience and ability to safely handle warehouse equipment
Capacity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic warehouse environment.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
Availability to work between 9:30 am to 6:00 pm with a half-hour lunch break, when necessary.
Wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing for manual labor.
Ability to pass a background check
This is an ON-CALL position. Hours are not guaranteed, but the amount will increase over time.
